Beg plastik, pembunuh senyap

Beg plastik, pembunuh senyap

Oleh Mohd. Hazli Hassan

Elective Caesareans Carry Increased Risk Of Breathing Problems

ScienceDaily (Dec. 12, 2007) — Babies delivered by elective caesarean section around term carry up to a fourfold increased risk of breathing problems compared with babies delivered vaginally or by emergency caesarean section, concludes a study from Denmark published on the British Medical Journal website.
The rate of delivery by elective caesarean section is increasing. Previous studies have shown that elective caesareans are linked to an increased risk of newborn respiratory problems. The exact reasons for this are unknown, but one explanation is that hormonal and physiological changes associated with labour are necessary for lungs to mature and that these changes may not be present in infants delivered by elective caesarean section. Gestational age at the time of elective caesarean section may also be important.

So researchers at Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark investigated the association between elective caesarean sections and newborn respiratory problems. They also analysed the importance of timing of elective caesarean sections. Over 34,000 live born singleton babies without birth defects and with gestational ages of 37 to 41 weeks were included in the main analysis. Deliveries were categorised into two groups: elective caesarean section and intended vaginal delivery (i.e. all vaginal deliveries and emergency caesarean sections).

Factors that could affect the results, such as maternal smoking and alcohol intake during pregnancy, maternal body mass index, maternal age and education, were also taken into account. 2,687 infants were delivered by elective caesarean section. Compared with infants intended for vaginal delivery, infants delivered by elective caesarean section were found to have an increased risk of general respiratory problems.

This risk increased the earlier the caesarean was performed. A nearly fourfold increased risk was found at 37 weeks gestation, a threefold increase in risk at 38 weeks gestation, and a doubling of risk in infants delivered at 39 weeks gestation. Adjusting for maternal factors had little effect.
For example, at 37 weeks, 2.8% of infants delivered by intended vaginal delivery had general respiratory problems compared to 10% of infants delivered by elective caesarean section. At 38 weeks, the proportion was 1.7% compared to 5.1% and at 39 weeks, 1.1% compared to 2.1%. The risks of serious respiratory problems showed the same pattern but with higher risk estimates than those for general respiratory problems. Analyses after restriction to low risk pregnancies revealed slightly smaller risk estimates at 37 weeks gestation but essentially unchanged estimates at 38 and 39 weeks gestation for serious respiratory problems, whereas the estimates remained unchanged at all gestational ages for general respiratory problems.

Babies delivered by elective caesarean section at 37 to 39 weeks of gestation carry a two to fourfold increased risk of respiratory morbidity compared with babies delivered by intended vaginal delivery, say the authors. They suggest that a significant reduction in neonatal respiratory morbidity may be obtained if elective caesarean section is postponed until 39 completed weeks of gestation.

Caesarean babies risk more breathing problems
LONDON | Tue Dec 11, 2007 7:11pm EST

LONDON (Reuters) - Babies delivered by non-emergency caesarean are up to four times more likely to have breathing problems than those delivered vaginally, Danish researchers said on Wednesday. The finding adds to evidence on the risks of elective caesareans, or C-sections, which are increasingly popular around the world.

Anne Hansen of the Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark, said the risks were greatest when a caesarean was performed early and she urged women not to choose the procedure before the 39th week of pregnancy. "This is important information for women who choose elective sections ... we suggest you should not do elective caesareans until 39 weeks, whereas a lot of elective sections are done at 37 and 38 weeks today," she said. Just why caesarean babies are at higher risk is unclear but Hansen said it was likely due to hormonal and physiological changes associated with labor.

The process of labor triggers the release of stress hormones in the mother, which are passed on to the fetus and are thought to be key in maturing the baby's water-filled lungs. Cases of breathing problems associated with caesarean births are often not serious but they typically require incubator and oxygen treatment. Hansen and colleagues based their research, which was published in the British Medical Journal, on a study of more than 34,000 births in Denmark. They found a nearly fourfold increased risk of breathing difficulties in caesarean babies delivered at 37 weeks, a threefold increase at 38 weeks and a doubled risk at 39 weeks.

As a result, 10 percent of caesarean babies had respiratory problems when delivered at 37 weeks, compared to 2.8 percent of infants intended for vaginal delivery. By 39 weeks, the proportion was 2.1 percent compared to 1.1 percent. Hansen stressed that C-sections still had many benefits, particularly in the case of breech babies and where the mother or baby was in danger. But the medical profession should do more to try and curb rising demand for non-emergency caesareans. "Most women choose it because their first delivery was a scary experience and we should really try to make sure the first delivery is a good experience," she said.

Ini adalah tajuk (brilliant babies of moms carry them longer)

ms 38 Star World on 3 july 2012!

Bayi yang dilahirkan sebelum 37 minggu disebut bayi pramatang!  Full term = 37 – 41 minggu .

Healthy eating is killing us.  Erin almost learned this the hard way.  As a self-proclaimed fitness fanatic and "healthy eater," Erin beat herself up over continued weight gain.  Frustrated was an understatement.  Searching for answers, her self-esteem sunk like an Italian cruise ship run aground and her physical confidence was left on the rocks to wash away.  Her doctors blamed it on aging, saying, "Well... you know, you are approaching that age..."Then she heard about becoming a Hormone Intelligence Therapy (HIT) Woman...
In her own words:
"I've always prided myself on the fact that I work hard to be healthy and in excellent shape.  My father is a diabetic, and that has made me more cautious with foods." "But, at 39 years old, I began to see body changes that were disappointing. It seemed no matter how hard I exercised or how careful I was about what I ate, I still gained weight. Over the past 6 months, I gained over 15 pounds."
"All I knew is that 'this', was not me."
"When my blood tests all came back normal, I was actually looking forward to finally handle something, but then the doctors told me, I was approaching 'that' age..."
"Are you SERIOUS??? What age??? 39???"
"That's when my friend Amy told me about The People's Chemist and how to become a HIT (Hormone Intelligence Therapy) Woman - the keys that unlocked the door to CHANGING life for me and my family."
It's been 77 days.  I'm 5'8". My starting awful weight was 162 lbs (the highest I've ever been). My current weight is 145 lbs.  I went from a size 12 jeans to a size 4, and counting.  I know I've gained quite a bit of lean muscle! I just don't know how much. I feel wonderful!  I have INCREASED energy, my body is LEANER, STRONGER, I feel GREAT and even my husband says, I look AMAZING!"
"My clothes fit AWESOME and that feels FANTASTIC!"
"And those extra pounds that weighed down my self-esteem - GONE!"
"Now I'm vigilant to continue to follow the 10 simple habits because they're easy and I know that's the way to keep me and my whole family healthy. The People's Chemist expertise and the support line email have been so awesome, I just want to keep going."

Never enter your credit Card number in an http website!
But if the web address begins with https://, That basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.
What is the difference between http and https. Maybe you already knew this, but I thought it was Important enough to send even if you already know.
FIRST, MANY PEOPLE ARE UNAWARE OF The main difference between http:// and https:// is.
It's all about keeping you secure. HTTP stands for Hypertext Transport Protocol. Which is just a fancy way of saying it's a Protocol (a language, in a manner of speaking) For information to be passed back and forth Between web servers and clients.
The important thing is the letter S which makes the difference between HTTP and HTTPS. The S (big surprise) stands for "Secure".
If you visit a website or web page, and look at the address in the web browser, it will likely begin with the following:  http://. This means that the website is talking to your Browser using the regular 'unsecured language.
In other words, it is possible for someone to "eavesdrop" on your computer's conversation with the website.
If you fill out a form on the website, someone might see the information you send to that site. This is why you never ever enter your credit Card number in an httpwebsite!
But if the web address begins with https:// that basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.
You understand why this is so important, right? If a website ever asks you to enter your credit Card information, you should automatically look to see if the web address begins with https://.
If it doesn't, there's no way you're going to enter Sensitive information like a credit card number.

Salam & Selamat Sejahtera,  saya ingin berkongsi pengalaman mengenai pemalsuan credit card.

Tempat Mohon: Plaza OSK Ampang
Tarikh Mohon: 21.09.2009
Jenis Card: Master Gold (credit limit RM12,000)
No.Card: 5455193286537020
Outstanding: RM4,000.00

Saya memang terkejut sebab saya TAK pernah mohon credit card Am Bank.

Wassalam

P/S : Kalo nak selamat , tak payah ada langsung kad kredit lah weh...

Exhaust pollution linked to heart attacks

PA, The West AustralianJuly 14, 2011, 10:45 am
Tiny chemical particles in diesel exhaust fumes could increase the risk of heart attacks.
Scientists from the University of Edinburgh found that minuscule particles produced by burning diesel can increase the chance of blood clots forming in arteries, leading to heart attacks or stroke.
The team, funded by the British Heart Foundation, measured the impact of diesel exhaust fumes on a group of healthy volunteers at levels found in heavily polluted cities.
The volunteers' reaction to gases found in diesel fumes, such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide, were compared with their reactions to tiny chemical particles found in the exhausts.
It was found that the particles, and not the gases, impaired the function of blood vessels.
"While many people tend to think of the effects of air pollution in terms of damage to the lungs, there is strong evidence that it has an impact on the heart and blood vessels as well," Dr Mark Miller, of the university's centre for cardiovascular science, said.
"Our research shows that while both gases and particles can affect our blood pressure, it is actually the minuscule chemical particles that are emitted by car exhausts that are really harmful. These particles produce highly reactive molecules called free radicals that can injure our blood vessels and lead to vascular disease.
"We are now investigating which of the chemicals carried by these particles cause these harmful actions, so that in the future we can try and remove these chemicals, and prevent the health effects of vehicle emissions."
The particles, which are thinner than a millionth of a metre, can be filtered out of exhaust emissions by fitting special traps to vehicles.
The researchers said environmental health measures designed to reduce emissions should be tested to determine whether they reduced the rate of heart attacks.
Professor Jeremy Pearson, associate medical director at the British Heart Foundation, said people with heart disease should avoid spending long periods outside in areas where traffic pollution was likely to be high, such as near busy roads.
