MRI & Gadolinium


Gadolinium adalah logam berat yan terdapat di kerak bumi. Ia digunakan sebagai Contrast Media dalam MRI. Kadar masuk Gadolinium ke dalam tumor adalah lebih tinggi dari tisu biasa dan ini digambarkan dalam MRI. Tetapi ia mempunyai kesan sampingan iaitu Neprogenic Sytemic Fibrosis terutamanya kepada mereka yang menghidapi sakit buah pingang.
